It is not only dogs breeds that need to be explored, cat breeds are just as important.  Each breed has different personality that are worth being explored.  It is important to match the personality traits of your cat to you own personality when you are choosing a new pet. Obviously within each breed the individual personality will differ. 

The Russian Blues 

• Intelligent and independent
• Affectionate and gentle
• Moderately active 
• Shy with strangers
• These cats can be distinguished by their trademark plush uniform blue grey coat. There is a slivery sheen that is reflected off the coat in the light. 
• They are very affectionate and tend to choose a family member to attach to.
• They are creatures of habit and don't like changes to their routine or environment.
• These cats are really particular about cleanliness. To keep a Russian Blue happy ensure that you keep its litter box clean. This breed has been know to deliberately excrete in other places in the house out of spite. 

This cat is beautiful, but not a show cat. It is very likely that if you have guests over, your Russian Blue will hide until they leave. For this reason the ideal companion for a Russian Blue is a working single person, first- time cat owner or a family that has older children. 

Their independent nature is suited to a modern environment, they are happy entertain themselves for extended periods of time. They have a low maintenance grooming regime, requiring simple brushing and nail clipping.
